ACTIVITY PACKAGES

Terms

These Terms apply to this website and all purchases of Activity Packages through Conference Taranaki (we/us), and you agree to be bound by these Terms.  

We may amend these Terms at any time by updating them on this website. The amended Terms will take immediate effect upon publication. 

These Terms apply unless we have expressly agreed in writing. 

Your information: 

In order to purchase an Activity Package you will be asked to provide some personal information (e.g. name, delivery address, phone number, email address). Please refer to our Privacy Policy to review our policy on these matters.  

Reservations: 

As some of our packages include popular restaurants and venues, we recommend that you make your booking as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. 

Prices and payment:

  • For bookings 14 days or more in advance of booked date a 20% deposit must be paid with the balance due 14 days prior to booked date. 
  • For bookings within 14 days of booked date full payment is required.
  • Direct credit into our bank account is required for payment of deposit which secures your booking.
  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.
  • All prices are indicative only and will depend on specific requirements. We also reserve the right to amend mistaken pricing and publishing errors.
  • All prices are on a per person basis.
  • Customised options may incur an extra one-off fee of $89 unless otherwise agreed.

Minimum numbers:

Minimum booking numbers are stated in each package unless otherwise agreed.

Refunds: 

Bookings are only valid and confirmed once we send you confirmation in writing. Cancellation of confirmed bookings are on the following basis:

  • In order to receive any refund, the cancellation of confirmed bookings must occur no less than 48 hours prior to booked date. 

48 hours:

NO REFUND

2-5 days:

50% refund of total package cost 

5-14 days:

80% refund of total package cost (ie. deposit not refunded) 

More than 14 days:

100% refund - no cancellation fee applies and deposit refunded.

  • The above assumes that payment has been made in full 14 days prior to booked date.
  • You may transfer bookings to substitute dates within 14 days of booked date, subject to availability. An administration fee of $25 will apply. The refund conditions above apply otherwise. 
  • Failure to report for booked package - NO REFUND.
  • It is recommended that you adequately insure yourself against cancellation charges and the possible loss of money or personal belongings or injury or other loss or damage. 

Disclaimer:

  • Conference Taranaki acts as a booking agent only for the activity, service, transport and accommodation providers.  When you make a booking you are entering into a contract directly with those providers and not with Conference Taranaki itself. Accordingly, you agree not to involve, or attempt to involve, us in any dispute or in the resolution of disputes that may arise between you and those providers.
  • Conference Taranaki reserves the right to alter times, itineraries and, if necessary, arrange alternative transportation as deemed necessary and will inform you accordingly.

Liability:

Nothing in these terms shall affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If you are in business or in trade, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 shall not apply.

To the extent permitted by law, all express or implied conditions and warranties in connection with these Terms and the Activity Packages are excluded and your sole remedy against us for any breach of, or in connection with, these Terms is either (and as determined by us): the supply of equivalent services; or a refund of the price paid by you for the services.  We will not, in any case, be liable for any indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of revenue or business profits or economic loss, nor will we be in any way responsible for any losses, damages, costs or other consequences of any kind arising from any delay in delivery or for things outside of our reasonable control. In no event will our liability to you exceed the price paid by you to us for the product or service and our liability is strictly limited to such.

We reserve the right to remove or edit website content (without notice) and cancel orders (without charge to you) at our discretion. We will endeavour to supply you with the services ordered or booked, but we will not be liable to any person if we decline to fulfil, or are unable to fulfil, an order or booking.  We reserve the right to substitute items in your order for services of equal or greater value.

We act as booking agent for service providers.  We are not responsible for the acts and omissions of these third parties. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We shall not be liable for any loss, death, injury or damage which you may suffer in connection with or arising out of your participation in an Activity Package.
  • You release us and our officers, employees, agents and representatives from any liability (for loss, death, injury or damage or otherwise), and expressly waive any claims you may have against us, arising out of or in connection with: (i) your participation in an Activity Package; and (ii) these Terms, and any breach by us of these Terms, other than the liability for substitute services or a refund as expressly accepted by us above.

Insurance:

Conference Taranaki acts as booking agent on the condition that it will not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity of any kind which may arise and by any means. You accept that Conference Taranaki does not, and is not be required to, hold insurance and that you shall adequately insure yourself.

Disputes:

These Terms, and any matters or disputes in any way related to these Terms, this website or an Activity Package, will be governed by the laws of New Zealand and the New Zealand courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Other: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, such invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the remainder of these Terms which will continue in full force and effect. We will not be deemed to have waived any right under these Terms unless the waiver is in writing.

 

GIFT BAGS:

Terms

These Terms apply to this website and all purchases of Gift Bags through Conference Taranaki (we/us), and you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Your information: 

In order to purchase a Gift Bag you will be asked to provide some personal information (e.g. name, delivery address, phone number, email address). Please refer to our Privacy Policy to review our policy on these matters.  

Your order:

We remain the owner of the product that we supply to you until we have received payment in full for the product.  All prices are listed in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Prices are exclusive of delivery which is charged separately (see ‘Delivery timeframes, costs and payments’ section). No contract for the sale and purchase of products will be formed, or variation made, until we confirm in writing acceptance of your order or variation. Variations will only be accepted at our discretion. Orders cannot be cancelled (in whole or in part) and no refunds will be given for cancelled orders. We reserve the right to amend mistaken pricing and publishing errors.

Delivery:

We only deliver within New Zealand.

The product is at your risk as soon as it is delivered to you.  Delivery will be deemed to have been made at the earlier of when possession of the Products passes from us to you, or from when possession passes from us to a carrier, courier or other bailee for the purposes of transmission to you. 

We supply great brands and reputable products and endeavour to ensure that the products leaves us in good condition.  We use third parties to deliver our products. Please contact us immediately if our product has been damaged in transit.

We will make reasonable endeavours to deliver the products to the address nominated in your order within a reasonable time of accepting your order.  If you have specified a delivery date, we will try our best to deliver the products by that date but we will not be liable for late delivery. Late delivery does not entitle you to cancel any order or part of any order.

We will re-deliver, replace or refund the product (at our option) if we have incorrectly addressed the delivery but we take no such responsibility if you gave an incorrect or insufficient address, or if there was no delivery due to the premises having no safe access point (e.g. a dog), or if the issue was outside our reasonable control.

Disclaimer:

  • Conference Taranaki gift packages include products from third party providers. Accordingly, you agree not to involve, or attempt to involve, us in any dispute or in the resolution of disputes that may arise between you and those providers.
  • Conference Taranaki reserves the right to alter product items and packaging. 

Liability:

  • You release us and our officers, employees, agents and representatives from any liability (for loss, death, injury or damage or otherwise), and expressly waive any claims you may have against us, arising out of or in connection with: (i) a Gift Bag; and (ii) these Terms, and any breach by us of these Terms, other than the liability for substitutes products or a refund expressly accepted by us above.

Disputes:

These Terms, and any matters or disputes in any way related to these Terms, this website or an Activity Package, will be governed by the laws of New Zealand and the New Zealand courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
